Oh so Pretty!

Never take your eyes off of them for a second. Baeden has discovered mommy's makeup and his favorite has to be the mascara. Mommy caught him a few days ago with the cap off but was able to intercept before application. Looks like she was totally clueless this time around. He decided he looked like Spiderman - his favorite superhero.

The Newest Addition

Mommy has been wanting a fort in the backyard and finally talked Daddy into getting one. The boys love it and it does a great job of wearing them out for bedtime.

Putting the fort together was a HUGE ORDEAL. Nothing was labeled and there were 500 screws and about 100 pieces of different size boards.
Thank you Grampa for coming to our house and putting together our fort. We are so grateful that you donated an entire 8 hour day in the extreme heat, breaking only 30 minutes for lunch, to build our playhouse. We could never have done it without you and your power drill.
Love, Braxton and Baeden

Bae Bae Turns Two

Momma's little man turned two on Sunday! Baeden has grown to be such a sweet, kind-hearted, little man. Now that he is 2, his vocabulary has increased ten-fold. Mommy's once very quiet soft-spoken little guy is now a little motor-mouth.
To begin the birthday celebration, the family loaded up and headed to Chuck E. Cheese. Baeden had a blast shooting basketballs with Daddy and playing the kiddy-games. Braxton was great at the pirate hunting video game and electronic bowling . He had 3 strikes out of 5 balls. Mommy was very impressed and ready to take him the some real lanes.

The highlight of the birthday presents were definitely the spiderman bike and our bubbles. Baeden loves bubbles and Braxton is eager to help him fill up the backyard in bubbles.
Mommy made an icecream spiderman cake. She was very impressed that nothing burned, melted, or fell before everyone was able to enjoy it. However she had to tell the birthday boy who it was on the top because he was unable to recognize his favorite super hero.
Baeden had the sweetest somber look as the family sang Happy Birthday.

Dear Baeden,
You have grown up so fast. I am in love with your sweet demeanor and kind spirit. My heart melts each night as I rock you to sleep, something I will miss when you are all grown-up. You look up to Braxton and can't wait to be big like him. The two of you have become good friends. Ya'll have the best time dribbling the basketball around the house playing defense.

Your favorite song yo-yos between Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and ABCs (ironically both have the same tune). I never get tired of singing with you especially since you don't mind that it is off-key. Everytime we go downstairs, you have to climb on my back as a little monkey and we bounce all the way downstairs. Too cute!

My life was blessed the day you entered it and I am grateful for my little angel. You have rescued me and loved me during the toughest of times and shown me how to love unconditionally. You may not allows be a Momma's Boy, but I will always be my little Boy's Mommy.

I love you and Happy Second,

Love Mommy

Swimming at Gramma's House

The fish or more appropriate the SHARK!

CANNON BALL!
Brax loves when Jeffey launches him into the sky off his raft.

Summer is here and one of our favorite activities is swimming a Gramma B's house. Braxton is quite the fish... it is so nice to not have to worry about him in the pool. He is a GREAT swimmer. Uncle Zachey has taught him how to dive, flip, and cannon ball.

Baeden is starting to find his fins. He loves to shoot his water guns at bubba and float in the hot-tub (which of course is turned off in this Texas heat).

GO RAPTORS!

Braxton began his first year of t-ball. He was quite that little baseball player. He played mostly in the outfield, a few times at third, and catcher. It was hard for him to maintain his focus throughout the entire game especially when there was nothing hit to him in the field.
The best part of his game was definitely his batting. Everytime it was his time to bat, he had to first draw his own batters box. Trying to figure out how to run bases was an entirely different on-taking. How do you explain to a 4-yr-old that we run to first, then second, and then third? Then you tell them to run home and they look at you like you are crazy. "Home is way to far away!" Baseball vocabulary is very hard to explain to someone who has never played the game.
Mommy was very proud of her little boy. He did a great job for his first year. We look forward to playing again next summer.
