AAAAAARRRRRRR! Gimme that candy or walk me plank!

What a night! Full of goblins and ghouls and two of the cutest pirates.
The boys had a blast. Braxton was so ready to tear up the neighborhood.
It took Baeden a few houses to get the whole idea. He finally realized he had to stick his hand out and say UH (his version of "trick or treat").
He would then slowly turn and leave the door steps as Braxton was already off and running to the next house.

When we got back home, Brax enjoyed answering the doorbell of fellow treaters. He would pick up the biggest handful of candy and place it in each sack. Then he made sure to tell them which candy was tough to open and which ones were easy.
"This one is real hard to open. Get your mommy to open it. Okay, see ya later."

The boys had a blast visiting the pumpkin patch Sunday morning. Mommy dressed them in matching overalls. Daddy was a little embarassed, but we all had fun. There was probably 1000 pumpkins in all possible sizes. Braxton had fun trying to lift the big ones to show off his muscles. Baeden just liked trying to ride all the bigger pumpkins and eat the smaller ones. It was a pleasant visit to the pumpkin patch, just one more sign that we are getting closer to the holidays.

The Rock Wall

Braxton has been eyeballing the rock wall at the YMCA since we became members early this summer. He actually wanted to climb the very first day we walked in, however you have to be 4 in order to attempt a climb. So the day finally arrived and her was so excited to get suited up.
First of all, the rock expert went to put the kids helmet on Brax, but it didn't fit, so he had to wear the adult helmet. He has a huge head. Next Braxton asked the lady, " Why you put this on my head?" To which she replied, "So you don't hurt your head if you fall." His eyes popped open. I really don't think he ever contemplated that falling was an option. I think he thought once you were on the wall, you hung on like spiderman. I saw a moment of reconsideration in his big blue eyes.

Once Brax got started, he was unstoppable. He got alot higher then mommy thought he would. He was lacking about 3 feet to the top of the 25 foot wall. What a champ! Braxton really wanted to try again, but his little body was just so tired. The wall really takes it out of you. He can't wait to go back and try again. Mommy doesn't mind, it wil give her a reason to get in the gym.

Wait no more... He is finally four!

Mommy can't believe her little boy is turning into such a little man!
Every year has brought so many great adventures, and we can't wait to see the excitment that comes with year 4. Did you know that age 4 is the year that one can officially play all sports. We can't wait until this summer when we officially enter the world of adolescent athletics.
Brice and Braxton cruising the waves.
Baby Holt is not much of a baby anymore. What a cutie pie.
Baeden loved the Chuck E. Cheese convertible. He refused to get out or share with anyone.
Braxton and Jackson.
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday dear Braxton!
Happy birthday to you!

Mommy and Daddy love you SO much!

Holt only ate what was on Baeden's plate and Baeden was shocked to find some one that could match his appetite. These two are sure to be some BIGGO boys one day. Good thing their mommies have a membership to Sam's Club.

The world's fastest present opener!

One minute the present were all there, and the next minute they were all gone.

We have never seen such a frantic present opening ceremony. The good news is that next year, all we have to get him is a bunch of wrapped boxes and bags full of tissue paper. The bad news is that I know how hard everyone worked to pick out the best present for Braxton, and we have no idea who brought what. So thank you to all our friends and family that made this such a special day.

Adventures at the Lake

We have had the best time going to the lake. While it is a very small lake, it is so quiet and relaxing. Braxton found a rope swing that he can't stay off of. We have to get there really early to try and claim it first. Usually we are able to get a few swings in. Baeden hates swimming in the lake which is odd because he loved the ocean. I think the merky waters frighten him. He usually sit onshore with mommy, and we try to get some sun.

And yes, there really is a sign that warns of an aligator. We haven't seen one yet and hope not to. Braxton checks all the water bushes before he jumps in.

Duck, Duck, Goose

One of our most favorite things to do is to go down to the river and feed the ducks. On this day there just happened to be at least a hundred of them. The boys love to feed them tons of bread. We buy extra loafs at the store for these special visits. Most of the ducks are so tame that they will come and eat out of Brax and Baed's hands. The boys have the best time down by the river.

First Trip to the Beach

Friday we packed up the Tahoe with bathing suits and sand toys. The boys have never been to the beach and were excited to see what it was all about. They were pretty good on the way down. We arrived at about 4 o'clock and headed straight to the beach. Check out the view.

Baeden took off running for the waves and never stopped. He loved when the waves would splash up and knock him down. He laughed once he caught his breath and was back chasing down the next wave. Braxton on the other hand was convince that there was a shark waiting in the waves and remained ashore. It didn't help that it was shark week on the discovery channel. Let's build a sand castle!
The boys loved playing in the sand. Mommy bought them some really cool beach toys to dig, rake, and build the best castle in history.

Braxton found a crab and built a little pool for his new pet.The only prblem was that he had to keep his brother from trying to eat it.

Day 2

On our second day at the coast, Braxton found his love for fishing. While Baeden napped in the car, the rest of the family tried their luck at the poles. Braxton practice casting and reeling. The most action we got was feeding the shrimp to the little crabs. Braxton fell in love with fishing and we had to go back every day and let him try to catch the big one.

When Baeden woke up from his nap, we returned to the beach. This trip was even better than the first one. Braxton finally went into the deep waves and Baeden ran up and down the shore. The boys took turns burying each other in the sand. Later mommy had fun trying to get the sand out of every nook and cranny of their little bodies.

Day 3

Finally, Sunday had arrived and it was time to return home. Braxton was devastated. He actually wanted to live in our hotel room FOREVER! Of course we stopped to fish one more time and took one more picture stop at the helicopter.

The ride home was a bit louder than the ride to the beach. The boys just didn't want to leave and sit in the car for the 3 hour ride home. We stopped for icecream at the golden arches, but once the cone was gone, they were fussy again. Even Happy Feet couldn't satisfy. All in all, it was such a great weekend. We are busy planning our return. Braxton still asks to go fishing each night before bed, and daddy can't seem to convince him that the ocean is not in our backyard.
