Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow.

Yes it SNOWED!

This morning we woke up to a Winter Wonderland.

We couldn't resist and had to bundle up and head outside before school.

Baeden was "fweesin" and stayed in the warm house while his big brother went wild in the snow.

What a wonderful suprise and so early in the cold season.

(of course the scientist in mommy has her convinced global warming is more than a theory)

Turkey Weekend

We celebrated a Turkey weekend this year. Aunt Khali volunteered to keep the herd... oops I mean.... cute little boys in her backyard. Brax, Baed, and Holt had fun playing stick-swords and chasing all the puppies around.
Happy Birthday Uncle Zak!
Baeden sang solo to Zak wishing him a Happy Birthday and Braxton helped blow out the candles.

Happy Birthday to Grampa too! We forgot to get candles but the boys had fun relighting and blowing out the flame-thrower! They enjoyed wishing grampa a very happy bday and gobbled up the icecream cake.

Gym Rats

We were invited to our cousins 4th birthday party and it was one of the best parties we have attended. What a cool place!!
The boys had the best time swinging, bouncing, jumping, and flying through the air.

Braxton refused to let go of the rope and he would just keep swinging.

CANNON BALL

Baeden loves to bounce.
He would start at one end and run as fast as he could down the world's longest trampoline before flopping on the mat.

The cutest little fan....

This was the best contraption. The boys would leap off the horse into a pit filled with foam squares. They would be sent all the way to the bottom and we would have to "fish" them out.

Very cool party.
Needless to say all the kids were fast asleep on the way home. They simply wore themselves out.

Future Skater! (no he is not falling)

Baeden loves to skateboard and he is rather coordinated at it. He can stand on the board unassisted and can pop the sides up and down while maintaining his balance. We are working on the rolling part, but he has the stationary tricks mastered.

What a Dark Knight!

I am a little late in posting these. Life with two boys can be a little hectic!
Enjoy these cute little batmen.
Thanks Aunt Brookie for helping mommy coral us down the busy street of trick-or-treaters.

Hanging out with Great Gramma

Look how fast we are growing....
Little Miss Teal is getting Oh So Big!

Braxton is quite the monkey... He was so proud of himself for getting up into the big tree all by himself. He was excited to share the experience with the little guys.

Baeden's turn in the tree. He only wanted to hang. (like spiderman)

Now it Monkey Man Holt.... We couldn't pull him out of the tree.
Happy Birthday Great Gramma!
Mommy's "grandma-with-the-kitties" is now "Great Gramma". Braxton loves to visit his great gramma and he will talk about the visit for weeks. Of course everytime we visit, he is reminded that this is where we had to let his pet turtle go.... so we always have to check the river and look for him.
This picture took alot of bribery and convincing. We had to snap fast.

Another day at the park......

Not only do the boys have a blast, but they are a little easier to hassle to bed at night.
Its a double bonus.

Pumpkin Patch

October is here and with it comes the pumpkin patch.
We love romping through all the pumpkins. There are big ones, small ones, gourdy ones, and plain ones. We managed not to break any even when we were throwing them and bouncing them. We are just that much closer to the big Halloween Trick or Treating Night!

Braxton Turns 5

Dear Braxton,
Time has flown by! You have grown up to be quite the little man.
You are so smart, so witty, so curious.
I adore your big blue eyes and the light that shines through them.
You are growing so fast and learning so much.
I cherish every moment we spend and all our adventures.
You are my hero and have a love of life that I find irresistable.
I love you with all my heart and more.
Happy 5th Birthday!
Love, Mommy

First Day of School

Braxton is officially a Preschooler. Baeden is in the 2-yr-old class. WOW time flies.
Brax has made a great transition to Pre-K. He was so excited to start school that he practiced writing his name the day before. He wanted to make sure that he could write his name on his paper so the teacher didnt have to do it for him. When Mommy went to pick him up, his new teacher said he was still practicing writing his name all day because he was afraid he wouldn't know how. He was apparently pretty stressed out over the name thing.
Baeden cried all day the first day and the second and the third.... and the fourth. He had to be removed during nap time so the other kids could sleep. As flattering as it may be to know that your baby is crying for you, it broke my heart the he wasn't adjusting. The second week was much better however. He likes to read books in the morning, so we get him started on a good book and then try to sneak out of the room.
As much as Mommy hates writing a check to daycare every month (which is basically a second mortgage), she is just not ready for her little boys to be so grown up. Next year Brax will start "real school", so this is our last year to enjoy the freedoms that come with daycare.

The Bowling Burdick Boys

This was our first trip to the lanes as a family. Braxton and Baeden had an absolute blast. Brax manages to put some weird spin on the ball and somehow it works for him... He did better than Mommy did! Baeden weighed less than the ball he was trying to use but he still managed to get it down the lane a few times. He had more fun people watching in his sunglasses which he kept on his head the entire time.
